Lance Bosart’s research contributions to atmospheric sciences have been so monumental that his legacy will live for decades to come. I consider myself fortunate that our research paths have crossed a number of times during our respective careers. The list includes the Catalina Eddy, bow echoes, tornadic storms, and the frontal structure within extratropical cyclones. Examples of these crossings and their outcomes will be presented. I will also discuss the most important time of my professional career when our careers and personal lives came together by highlighting the contributions of Brian Bosart, an incredibly bright and talented scientist.
