David T. Myrick, NOAA/NWS/Office of Science and Technology Integration, Silver Spring, MD

The SOO-DOH Projects initiative was started by the NWS Office of Science and Technology Integration in 2015 to bring Science and Operations Officers (SOOs) and Development and Operations Hydrologists (DOHs) together to collaborate on R2O projects that address critical field science and training needs. Since 2015, twenty different projects have been initiated, primarily focused on 1) the development of forecaster tools, 2) the evaluation of new model datasets and 3) the creation of training resources. To promote collaboration and sharing across the NWS, the SOO-DOH Projects leverage the suite of tools available in NOAA’s Virtual Laboratory. This poster will provide an overview of the SOO-DOH Projects initiative and highlight some of the recent project accomplishments.
