Meteorological data has an intrinsic spatial and temporal component. Traditionally, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software such as ArcGIS with rapidly updating information has been extremely challenging. With the rise of technologies such as ArcGIS Online, GeoEvent Server, and GeoAnalytics Server, capturing and analyzing rapidly updating meteorological data streams are now possible with minimal customized code. This talk will highlight the capabilities of the ArcGIS platform to consume and analyze complex and rapidly updating meteorological data in ways that were not possible even five years ago.
