The Community Satellite Processing Package for Geostationary satellites (CSPP Geo) project supports the Direct Broadcast community by providing free software to generate geophysical products from geostationary satellites. CSPP Geo software will include support for GOES-16, Himawari-8 and the current operational GOES satellites.

Support for GOES-16 includes the CSPP Geo GRB and AIT Framework packages. The GRB package processes the raw GOES Rebroadcast (GRB) data stream, producing Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) L1b, Global Lightning Mapper (GLM) L2+, along with the suite of space instrument L1b products in mission-standard NetCDF-4 format. The AIT Framework package will take ABI L1b input and produce Level 2 ABI products using baseline science algorithms.

The CSPP Geo GEOCAT Level 2 software package will generate Level 2 products using GOES-R algorithms adapted for the Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) on Himawari-8 and GOES Variable (GVAR) on current operational GOES. GEOCAT will support AHI HimawariCast (HRIT) and HimawariCloud (HSD) formats.

This poster will cover the currently available and future software packages and products from the CSPP Geo project.
