We will present the results of the UN TF HTAP phase 2 model experiments from ten participating global models on hemispheric transport of aerosols. We will first evaluate model simulated (a) surface aerosol concentrations over North America, Europe, and Asia with available surface measurements and (b) AOD over the world with AERONET data. We will then estimate the source attributions in the northern hemispheric regions of North America (NAM), Europe (EUR), South Asia (SAS), East Asia (EAS), and the Arctic (ARC), and finally estimate the “Response to extra-regional emission reduction (RERER)”.
