On April 5, 2017, a rare anti-cyclonic tornado occurred near Shelbyville, TN (about 50 miles SE of Nashville). A WKRN TV viewer sent video of the clockwise tornado as it went through her neighborhood. The next day, the National Weather Service in Nashville conducted a storm survey concluding it was an EF-1 tornado caused by a left splitting supercell. The tornado stayed on the ground for a little over 7 miles. This presentation will show the video that clearly showed the clockwise rotation, as well as radar analysis on GR2 Analyst.
