The Satellite Product and Services Review Board (SPSRB) is a group responsible for the oversight of NOAA Satellite and Information Service (NESDIS) satellite data products. These products are provided to NOAA line offices and other agencies for use in subject areas such as meteorology, land cover, oceanography, and climate. The SPSRB provides guidance throughout the entire life cycle of a product from development to retirement. The SPSRB also outlines the method by which users may request new products or enhancements and the steps developers must take to prepare these items for operations. This poster provides an outline of the entire SPSRB process, giving insight into how user needs and new ideas become official operational NOAA satellite data products.
