An oceanographic and meteorological study from the U.S Army Corps of Engineers data service collects wind, wave and tidal conditions from multiple data sources. This research project further examined this effort by evaluating samples of these data for the period of Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Analysis includes time series and directional plotting of wind and wave measurements. Direction and magnitude of high energy storms(hurricanes) and how they affect the New York City area.
