Economics can be a powerful policy tool if developed in a long-term coherent process of economic valuation for the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise. Socio-economic valuation will help to understand the needs and potential of the Enterprise and support, focus, and prioritize weather, water, and climate research and applications.
