The first course offered was Weather and Climate of Florida, which provides the students an analysis of Floridas weather and climate, including thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes; in an attempt to expand the students understanding of the dynamic nature of the atmosphere, and the concern to protect what is considered Floridas most valuable physical resource.
The next step, was the introduction of a course that combine two of the most interesting and current topics in modern science: Global Warming/El Niño, that will provide the students the necessary elements to understand the opposing viewpoints related to Global Warming; and, at the same time, what is El Niño, and how it affects the weather globally.
