The DataStreme Project, a unique National Science Foundation-funded K-12 teacher enhancement program of the American Meteorological Society, is now in its fifth year of national implementation. DataStreme has trained over 5,000 teachers nationwide in practically every state and several other countries. This update report on the status of DataStreme will review the results to date and future directions. The Project accomplishments, in terms of its numbers of implementation teams and teachers trained, will be compared to Project goals. DataStreme evaluations through surveys of participants, both during and after taking the course are shown for comparative and longitudinal study. Results of an additional evaluation added to the original methodology design in year three and bearing more directly on participant attitude change and content acquisition, are also given. Finally, plans for DataStreme's future directions will be highlighted.
