Getting CERES About the Weather

Ann Kelly, AMS/Maury Project and Our Lady of Sorrows School, St. Louis, MO

In our DASH (Developmental Approach in Science, Health, and Technology) Science class we make our own weather instruments, interpret data, and create graphs. Using NASA's CERES S'COOL Project the students observe the clouds and go on-line to report their findings at the time of the satellite overpass. We extend our weather studies into Language Arts through creative writing and the use of KIDPIX and Hyperstudio presentations.
