The interaction between middle and lower latitude circulations plays an important role in unusual typhoons. Mid-latitude long-wave trough, jet and cold air activities usually result in sudden changes in typhoon moving direction and speed as well as typhoon structure, intensity and rainfall. Besides, flow pattern over Tibetan Plateau has significant impact on typhoon motion in west part of western North Pacific. On the other hand, typhoon may have important influence on mid-latitude circulation and weather. Especially, while a typhoon is approaching Meiyu front, it usually prevents the vertical motion in rainfall area from development, and cosequently stop the rainfall. Above interactions would be discussed in this paper.
