This study analyzed a long-term variation of characteristics of typhoon, which struck the Korean Peninsular during 1950~2007. It is noticeable that a frequency of typhoon struck to the Korean Peninsular without passing through China continent has been increased. In a way, an intensity of them has been simultaneously increased as well. Furthermore, a socio-economic impact of typhoon on 18 cases during 2002~2007 has been discussed by divided into a negative and a positive. typhoon's damage (i.e. a recovery cost) added up to 10B USD for this period. However, in case of positive impacts, an economic value brought by enhancing an air quality, preventing a red tide, and securing water resource is summed up to 800M USD, yet.
