On The Beach: How To Stay Afloat When The Business Tries to Sink You

I plan on starting with a brief history of starting out in a tiny market (Casper, WY) and making it to a solid middle market, morning show. (Memphis) After 14 years working full-time non-stop I was hit with a non-renewal and thought my world had ended. Instead, I picked myself up and made it through a very rough 13 months by freelancing, doing radio, public relations work and auditioning at stations around the country. I'm planning on using a variety of pictures and video clips of places and people I encountered along the way who helped me through it and ultimately to my new full-time gig.

A lot of people end up leaving the business after finding out they haven't been renewed. The answer isn't always to give up. I plan on hosting a fun, interactive demonstration about how to successfully get through a rough patch and find peace, comfort and positivity while looking for the next full-time on-air job.
