The Bureau of Indian Affairs Eastern Region Office (BIA-ERO) serves 28 tribes in the northeastern and southeastern United States. As part of its Regional Climate Action Plan the BIA-ERO joined the Weather Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassadors program in September 2014. WRN helps BIA-ERO communicate with tribes in our region about extreme weather/climate events and impacts. Here we discuss current projects and ongoing challenges.
