AWIPS Program—Collaborative Development Panel

The National Weather Service will lead a panel discussion on collaborative development within the AWIPS Program from a user perspective. The goal of the panel will be to enhance communication between the NWS and external AWIPS users by providing a forum to better understand how the larger AWIPS community utilizes the software and where improvements in collaboration can be made to ensure the AWIPS open source environment remains useful while still prioritizing the agency mission. In keeping with the Annual Meeting Theme, the discussion will focus on how the AWIPS Program Office (APO) communicates pertinent information to the developers and users, as well as methods for the APO to also receive feedback from these groups.
