For decades, on-camera meteorologists have incorporated the latest available technologies into their broadcasts to bring weather to life in a manner that gets the all-important forecast message across in a clear and concise manner. This presentation will discuss how some exciting advancements in weather presentation tools are now allowing weather presenters to actually bring amazing weather phenomena, such as tornadoes, inside the studio. Through the display of examples used on The Weather Channel we hope to demonstrate why the marriage of augmented reality and the science behind the weather may just be the next big leap in weather messaging.
