The US Air Force Director of Weather is responsible for policy, guidance, oversight and advocacy to ensure operational capability and readiness for AF weather operations in support of both the US Air Force and the US Army. The AF Director of Weather and his staff serve as the AF's primary representative to other governmental and international agencies on all issues regarding atmospheric and space weather and climate matters, and coordinate with HQ US Army on matters pertaining to Army weather support requirements and interoperability. This presentation will highlight current and planned ways the AF Director of Weather and his staff support these global mission requirements and to leverage multiple key partnerships with both civil organizations and government agencies, focusing on initiatives to develop capabilities to collect, analyze, predict, tailor, and integrate water information into defense and intelligence operations and planning.
