Over 50 ozonesondes were released in El Paso, Texas as part of the 2017 El Paso Ozone Transport Field Study. An additional 80 ozonesondes were released from San Antonio, Texas over the months of May, August, and September as part of the 2017 San Antonio Field Study. In order to validate the measurements taken from each flight, data are compared to overpass data from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) onboard the NASA Aura Satellite. Surface data are also compared against the Continuous Air Monitoring Stations (CAMS) in and around El Paso and San Antonio at the time of each flight.
