EMC support for aviation forecasting efforts using the Eta model

The Environmental Modeling Center of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction is committed to providing guidance for aviation forecasting efforts. This paper discusses use of the Eta model in the prediction of visibility, turbulence, icing, and other parameters of concern to the aviation community. Special attention will be given to model forecast meteograms generated as TAF guidance.
