Record heavy snow events over the central and northern high plains have had a preference for occuring in April and May as opposed to the winter months of December, January, and February. The county by county records show a late season signal by records set by a number of storms over a variety of years as opposed to being set by a single exceptional storm. I will show the geographical and time distribution of these storms, and detail the meteorology underpinning several representative storms.
